Boys new TWEEN Room!

So the boys have done such a great job in school we wanted to share with them how much we love them and care for them. Since they were in CA for about a month and I wanted to do something for them before they got back, so I decided to use some money I worked for from this summer to redecorate their room. This is the only before picture, I took more but lost them somehow. Anyways this is how plain it was before.
We had the boys close their eyes...sorry about the
bad resolution but the flash did not
go off for some reason, so i
tried to fix it as best i could so you
could see their reaction-they were pretty psyched!
Here is what they saw when they opened their eyes...
The picture I had framed is pretty special to me and hopefully
will be special to them too...it was their grandfather's
first motorcycle. The picture was from 1969 and my
good friend Mandy helped me get it blown up and reprinted.
We left some room on the shelves for them to
add "stuff" so right now it looks a little bare.
The long orange thing on the left is a peg board that my
great friend Jen let me have so I painted it and
hot glued some cork board for them to hang stuff.
I also got some floor pillows that they can hang out on.
Storage is a must so we gave them some.
I repurposed shower curtains from Target
for these fab closet covers!
(Jen-super idea on orange for the closets! It looks great!)
This is a sign I made of a Psalm that is actually in the bible..the boys
couldn't believe it was in there LOL!
"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity"
These are boards that the boys had broken in half by
kicking them for TaeKwonDo. Instead of tossing them
(b/c I didn't want the clutter) I painted them and wrote some
cool and inspirational quotes and verses on them.
He missed his buddy...
Checkin' out his new book light.
The babes needless to say were VERY excited
to have their brothers back!
And to my dismay, within 30 minutes,
the floor was already a mess.
But they organized and
cleaned it up before bed :)
I think it was a successful redo and I am
excited that the boys like it!

wow!!! It looks so good!!!
You def. need to come to CR and help me when Isaiah gets out of his crib in a few months. I love what you did. It's definitely a good look for 'tweens'. I love the kicked in half boards w/ sayings on them! Very creative!
Great job Joy!
